Yarlung Tsangpo River

The Yarlung Tsangpo River rises in the Himalayas, southwest of Tibet. The Yarlung Tsangpo Valley in Nyingchi is the longest and deepest valley in the world. It is famous for the splendid view of the Big Turning. The Yarlung Tsangpo River flowing from the east suddenly turns to the south at 'the Big Turning', forming most wonderful horseshoe-shaped valley in the world. In addition, there are varieties of natural resources such as some rare plants and animals, including otters, snow leopards, ocelots and pangolins.
