Temple of Confucius

Temple of Confucius was built into a rectangle shape with an area of 327.5 Mu (53.9 acres). It was initially built one year after Confucius passed away (478 BC), and was reconstructed many times in the later dynasties. The temple is divided into two symmetrical parts by a main axis, in which there are the nine courtyards. The most beautiful buildings in the temple are: Lingxingmen, Ermen, Kuiwen Pavilion, Xintan, Dacheng Hall, Qin Hall, Shengjin Hall, and Shili Hall.
