- Cemetery of Confucius
-
After Confucius passed away, all his students came to say goodbye to their teacher. Each of them brought a special tree of their hometown and planted them in the cemetery, so there are more than 100,000 plants in the graveyard, among which over 9,000 are rare trees with 200 years of history. In addition, there are over 4,000 tomb stones in the graveyard, and many were inscribed by famous calligraphers of the Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing (1644 - 1911) Dynasties, such as Li Dongyang, Yangsong and Kang Youwei.
