The origin of Shaolin Martial Arts, Shaolin Temple is a Chan Buddhist temple located at the west foot of the Songshan Mountain, 13 kilometers (8 miles) northwest of Dengfen City of Henan Province.

As an ancient architectural highlight of temple combined forests in China, Guanlin Temple was originally built in the Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220) and rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644).
