Located in a valley, about 20 kilometers (12 miles) north of Changping County in Beijing, Juyongguan is an important part of the Chinese Great Wall. Because of the great strategic value and the special valley terrain of Juyongguan, it has been known as 'the first pass under heaven' since ancient times. Further more, there are also many other ancient constructions such as the Northern and Southern Quancheng, the Ancient Cannons, the Yuntai Tower, and the Water Gate.
