Surrounded by mountains in the east, west and north, Ming Tombs, the largest imperial tomb group in China, is located at the foot of the Tianshou Mountain in Changping District of Beijing, about 50 kilometers (31 miles) away from Beijing City. Although every tomb is an independent unit in different size, they complement each other and present a harmonious overall look.
