Hometown of the Naxi people, Lijiang Old Town doesn't have high city walls, or wide streets. However, it is as simple as a painting, natural and harmonious. Meanwhile, Dongba culture, Naxi ancient music and folk dance, and Lijiang murals add more historical and cultural atmosphere to it.

Located in the Dayan Town of Lijiang City, Baisha Village was the home of Chieftain Mu, the supreme ruler of Lijiang, serving as the political, economic and cultural center of Lijiang in ancient times.

Known as 'the First Village among the Snow Mountain', Yuhu Village is located at the foot of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. People who live near mountains depend upon the mountains for their livelihood, so most of the houses in Yuhu Village were built with stones of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Thus, it is also named 'Stone Village'.
