Yanan, located in northern Shaanxi Province, is known as the birthplace of the Chinese civilization. Legend has it that the father of human beings Huangdi (the Yellow Emperor) lived and buried in Yanan, hence the famous Huangdi Mausoleum. Every year, there are thousands of Chinese people from all over the world coming to pay their respects to Huangdi. Yanan is also a sacred place of Chinese revolution, so there are many historical sites about the Chinese revolution, such as the Date Garden, Yangjialing Revolution Relics, and Wangjiaping Revolution Relics.
