Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a 64.5-meter (211 feet) high square cone-shaped tower. It was originally built into a five-floor tower by Master Xuanzang, and was reconstructed into a 7-floor tower during the Reign of Empress Wu Zetian. The pagoda has become a famous tourist attraction since the Tang Dynasty. Many inscriptions were left by writers and celebrities when they came to visit the pagoda. Now the surrounding areas of the pagoda have been developed into four squares for all kinds of art and entertainment activities for citizens and visitors.
