Opened in 1958, Banpo Museum is the first museum exhibiting pre-history relics. Banpo Village is one of the best-preserved typical pre-history villages of the Matriarchal Clan Society in the Yellow River. The relics of houses, cellars, tombs, and all kinds of productive tools and life utensils clearly and vividly show the production and living status of the people over 6,000 years ago in the prosperous periods of the Matriarchal Clan Society.
