Yunshan Tun is the best-preserved Tunbu village of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) in China. Along the two sides of the stone street in Yunshan Tun, there are rows of stone houses, most of which are Siheyuan (courtyard). Tunbu was the living unit established by the local garrison in the Ming Dynasty. Since the village is in the mountains, far from modern civilization, most of the traditions have been kept till now, hence the Tunbu culture.
