Ancestral Temple of the Chen Family is located at No. 34, Enlong Li, 7th Zhongshan Road, Guangzhou City. Namely the Academy of Chen Family, it was constructed, from 1890 to 1894 in the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911), into a school for the children of the Chen Family. Covering an area of 13,200 square meters (32.6 acres), the Ancestral Temple of the Chen Family is renowned for the delicate decorations, including a variety of woodcarvings, stone carvings, brick carvings, pottery carvings, murals, and bronze and iron ornaments.
