Located to the west of Tiananmen Tower, the Military Museum is the only complex military museum in China. It covers an area of 80,000 square meters (19.8 acres), comprising 22 exhibition halls and 2 exhibition squares. In the exhibition halls, you can see many cultural relics about Chinese war history from the ancient times to the modern times, especially the wars between 1927 and 1949. There are also special exhibition halls for weapons used in the wars.
