Lugou Bridge Photos

Located 15 km (9.3 miles) southwest away from Beijing city, Lugou Bridge is one of the existing oldest stone arch bridge in China. It was built in the Jin Dynasty (1115 - 1234) and rebuilt in the Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing (1644 - 1911) Dynasties. Lugou Bridge is famous for the stone lions on the pillars of it. It is said that there are over 500 stone lions on the pillars of the bridge, and each of the lions has distinct positions and facial expressions.
