As unique cultural heritage of China, Hongcun & Xidi Ancient Villages are the most representative local-style residences in southern Anhui Province, well-known for its picturesque landscapes, well-preserved village appearance, finely-built Hui Style residences as well as colorful history and culture. Both of the two villages still largely preserve the suburban appearance that had disappeared or been changed in the last century.
